World Tai Chi & Qigong Day - A "HEALING" EFFORT

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Often, when we begin learning Tai Chi or Qigong, we have specific goals. We want to reduce our stress, improve our strength or health, or we want to learn a martial art.
However, once we begin down the road of Tai Chi or Qigong, we soon discover that they offer so much more than we could have ever concieved of in mental, emotional, and even spiritual benefits.
Just as our personal Tai Chi & Qigong journey's evolve into something greater . . . so has World Tai Chi & Qigong Day.
In past years we've seen WTCQD events become fundraisers for Special Needs Children; for Burn Victims of War; etc. etc.
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day has provided free health CDs to wounded military veterans.
www.WorldTaiChiDay.org was one of the earliest advocates of the "ONE Campaign to Make Poverty History."
Last week, Bono, of U2, recently spoke to the NAACP in America, when presented with an award for his global health & healing work. It is inspirational, and worth watching. You can view it on YouTube at:
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day ORGANIZING & MEDIA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Event organizers have asked us when to send out Press Releases. We suggest sending out several waves. (You'll find Press Releases in 18 languages, for you to use, with spaces for your local info. See below URL).

Begin by sending out Press Releases to the COMMUNITY CALENDAR DESK of local TV, radio, newspapers, websites, etc. NOW.

Then send out Press Releases to the WEEKEND ASSIGNMENT DESKS of local media now.

Follow up in a couple weeks sending the press release to the media again, WEEKEND ASSIGNMENT DESKS.

Then a few days before your World Tai Chi & Qigong Day event, send out one last one.

In the mean time you can call your local TV, radio, and newspapers describing what WTCQD is, and how your local event is part of this mass global event. Ask them who's the best person to talk to about interviews, pre-event, and event day coverage. Then tranfer to him/her and begin a dialogue/relationship. Tell them about the Reuters report on Tai Chi benefits for Diabetes and Immune System responses.
