Canada - Whitehorse, Yukon Territory,

For the first time, the members of Tai Chi Yukon took part in this worldwide celebration. On a crisp, sunny morning about 25 people gathered on the plaza in front of the federal building to do qigong, tai chi and watch a sabre demonstration. Our group included everyone from tai chi players with several years experience to passers-by who spontaneously joined in. There was certainly a vitalizing spirit in the air and afterwards, organizers immediately began planning how next year's event could be even better. We have not yet looked up the Siberian community but surely we are contenders for the most northerly tai chi event?

Utrecht, The Netherlands
It was great fun to participate! We did some pushing hands, the Golden Flower Tai Chi form, Chi Kung and the Golden Flower Sword form. |
