  1. Can I use the same login for both my school listings and my WTCQD event photo/video gallery postings?

General WTCQD Community Questions

Q: Can I use the same login for both my school listings and my WTCQD event photo/video gallery postings?
A: Yes! You just need one login id/username to access all of WTCQD's community activities.

Q: I forgot my password or username. How can I retrieve them?
A: We can't retrieve your exact password, but we can reset it for you.  Click here and enter your email and we'll send you your username and a new password.  If you can't remember your email address or if you are not receiving the email from us, then please Contact Us and let us know your first and last name as well as your school name and address.

Q: How do I find the URL of my YouTube video?
A: To find the URL for your YouTube video, first view the video on YouTube.   You'll see that YouTube displays the URL to the right of the video under the description of the video.

Q: When I select a Country in either the "Find Local Classes" search box or creating/updating a school listing or an event gallery posting, the state/province field only lists states in the United States. How can I fix this?
A: In order to properly use this sight, you will need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. To do so, please follow the instructions below:

Internet Explorer (6.0)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Internet Options'
  3. Click on the 'Security' tab
  4. Click on 'Custom Level'
  5. Scroll down until you see section labled 'Scripting'
  6. Under 'Active Scripting', select 'Enable' and click OK

Netscape Navigator (4.8)

  1. Select 'Edit' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Preferences'
  3. Choose 'Advanced'
  4. Choose 'Scripts & Plugins'
  5. Select the 'Enable JavaScript' checkbox and click OK

Mozilla Firefox (1.0)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Options'
  3. Choose 'Web Features' from the left navigation
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Mozilla Firefox (1.5)

  1. Select 'Tools' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Options'
  3. Choose 'Content' from the top navigation
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript' and click OK

Apple Safari (1.0)

  1. Select 'Safari' from the top menu
  2. Choose 'Preferences'
  3. Choose 'Security'
  4. Select the checkbox next to 'Enable JavaScript'

Please keep in mind that upgrading your browser or installing new security software or security patches may affect your JavaScript settings. It is a good idea to double-check that JavaScript is still enabled if you notice that selecting a country in the 'Find Local Classes' search box does not change the selection for the state/province list.

School/Event Listing Questions

Q: I created a school listing, but how do I update it now?
A: To edit your school listing,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to edit
  4. Select 'Edit This School' under the School header to make updates to your school.

Q: Why isn't my listing showing up when I search for it?
A: It's possible that your school contact City, State/Province, or Country isn't set. When we first launched the listings, not every country had a State/Province list to select. We have since resolved that problem. Login to your WTCQD account to edit your school listing and verify that your contact City, State/Province, and Country fields are set. If they are set, then Contact Us and let us know the problem.

Q: How do I upgrade my school listing to one of the Premium School Listings?
A: To upgrade your school listing,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to upgrade
  4. Select 'Signup for a Premium School Listing Subscription' under the School header

Q: How do I add/update my WTCQD Event Plans?
A: To add or update your WTCQD Event Plans,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to edit your WTCQD Event Plans
  4. Select 'Edit This School' under the School header to make updates to your school's Event Plans
  5. Scroll down a little and you'll see where you can update your Event Plan information

Q: What should I do if my country is missing a state or province in the State/Province drop down list?
A: Please Contact Us and let us know the name of the state or province is missing for your country. We'll add it right away, then let you know it's available.

Q: How do I upload videos to my Platinum School Listing?
A: We currently only support video from YouTube. You must first establish a YouTube account (it's free), then upload your video to YouTube. Once your video has been uploaded to YouTube, you can easily embed it into your Platinum School video gallery.
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to upload video for
  4. Select 'Upload a Video' from the list under the Video heading
  5. Enter the URL for the YouTube video you want to embed. If you view the video on YouTube, you'll see that YouTube displays the URL to the right of the video under the video description
  6. That's it!

Q: How do I add Class Discount Coupons to my Platinum School Listing?
A: There are four standard coupons you can select to use and/or build a your own custom coupon.

To select one of these coupons or to build your own,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to add a coupon to
  4. Select 'Edit This School' under the School header
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select which coupon(s) you want to use
  6. Update the custom text and color under the last coupon to customize your own coupon
  7. Click the 'Click here to view custom coupon changes' link to see your customized changes
  8. Click the 'Update School Listing' button at the bottom of the page to save your changes
  9. If you selected one or more coupons, then you will see the 'Free Coupons' link at the bottom of your listing now

Q: How do I delete one of my school listings?
A: To delete your school listing,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your Schools
  3. Select which of your schools you want to delete
  4. Select 'Delete This School' under the School header to make updates to your school.

WTCQD Event Photo and Video Gallery Questions

Q: I want to add my WTCQD event photos and/or videos, but how do I get started?
A: BY POSTING PHOTOS/VIDEOS to the WorldTaiChiDay.org Gallery, you attest that you have the rights to them, and that YOU GRANT WorldTaiChiDay.org and WorldHealingDay.org the rights to utilize them in the promotion of these global health & healing events.

To add your photos and videos, you will first need to create an WTCQD Event Posting. This posting will allow you create a different photo/video Album for each year you hold a WTCQD event.

To create an event...

  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select Create a WTCQD Event Photo/Video Gallery Posting
  3. Enter your event's title, a brief description, and location (city, state, country). Note that this event posting will be used for each year you hold a WTCQD event, so don't put a year in the title. You'll be able to select the year when you create an Album.
  4. If you have Platinum School Listing, then you will have the option to select it as well.
  5. Click 'Create Event' button
Great! You've created your event. At this point you'll be on your Event's Update page.

Now you will need to create your Album.

  1. Click the 'Add an Album' link
  2. Enter the year of your event as well as a title and description for that year's WTCQD event
Nice Work! You've created an album to display your videos and photos in.

Now you just need to add your photos and videos.

  1. Select either 'Upload Pictures into an Album' or 'Upload Videos into an Album' to add your videos
  2. That's it!

Q: I created a WTCQD Event Video and Photo Gallery Posting, but how do I make updates to it now?
A: To edit your event posting,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your WTCQD Event Photo & Video Gallery Postings
  3. Select 'Update this Listing' icon at the bottom of the Event banner you want to update.
  4. A list of actions you can perform will appear under the Event banner. Select which action (edit event, add an album, add vidoes/photos, etc..)

A: To delete your event posting,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your WTCQD Event Photo & Video Gallery Postings
  3. Select 'Update this Listing' icon at the bottom of the Event banner you want to update.
  4. A list of actions you can perform will appear under the Event banner. Select 'Delete This Event Gallery'.

Q: How do I associate my Platinum School Listing with my WTCQD Event Gallery Posting?
A: To associate your school listing,
  1. Login to your WTCQD account or if you're already logged in, then go to your member home page.
  2. Select View Your WTCQD Event Photo & Video Gallery Postings
  3. Select 'Update this Listing' icon at the bottom of the Event banner you want to update.
  4. A list of actions you can perform will appear under the Event banner.

    If you have any Platinum School Listings, then at the bottom of this page you'll see an entry field labeled 'School Associate'.

    Select which Platinum School you want to associate, then click the 'Update Event Listing' button
