Dr. Joseph Moo Shong Woo (Mestre Woo), 75, has been working daily as a volunteer for more than 32 years, at the Plaza of Universal Harmony in Brasilia, with people of all ages, races, religions, beliefs and social strata who wish to learn and practice Tai Chi Chuan, therapeutic Chi Kung, meditation, solar energization, prayer and harmonization.
At the “Plaza of Universal Harmony” (EQN 104/105), we have the privilege of practicing Tai Chi and Chi Kung every day, without charge, from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m., as well as from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. (except Sunday), under the orientation of Dr. Woo. When it rains, the sessions are held in a nearby public school, the Centro de Ensino Fundamental of Northern Superblock 104. As for the plaza, it is a venue not only for physical exercise, but also for mental and spiritual growth; it aims to promote universality and the brotherhood of all.
Dr. Woo’s titles include the following:
Advisor of The Chinese Acupuncture Medical Publishing Incorporation;
Honorary Dean of The Chinese Medical Speciality College and Institute;
Honorary President of World Wide Chinese Herbalists Union General Association.
Nominated for the Prince of Astúrias prize for cultural and human work in the international area (Spain).

The event of april, 29, 2006, which was a sucess, thanks Lord! The press, like the important tv channel from Brazil, Record TV, spread the event some days before it happened and made a special coverage of the event (soon, we will send the program exhibited on tv). The most important newspaper in Brasilia also spreaded the event, speacially with the ativicts, promoted by Tai Chi schools of Brasilia, before and after of the event.
Almost 700 people of differents ages, nationalities and social classes watched and participated the free demonstration of Tai Chi (various styles), auto-massage, Kung Fu (Wushu), colectives pratices of ancients eastern physical exercises, folk and classical music, that took place from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Universal Harmony Square, in a Brasilia, capital of Brazil.
