Governor of Guam Proclaims World Tai Chi & Qigong Day

Guam, World Tai Chi & Qigong Day event PHOTO

Dear Bill,

Guam students of Academy of Qi Dao were honored to be the first Americans who began the celebration of the World Tai Chi & Qigong Day this year. Being 14 hours ahead of the East Coast, Tai Chi and Qigong enthusiasts on Guam caught the wave of Qi coming from New Zealand and contributed some of their cheerful energy to the worldwide healing wave. Please enjoy some of our photos taken in the Ypao park where Lama Tantrapa, the only professional Qigong master on Guam, shared some basic principles and applications of Qi Dao style of Tibetan Shamanic Qigong.

Some local radio stations took interviews from Lama Tantrapa, who moved to Guam to write his books and produce DVDs on Qi Dao. Articles featuring Tai Chi & Qigong were published in the Pacific Daily News – the main newspaper on the island. Attached, please find that article and a copy of the proclamation we submitted to the Governor of Guam for ratification, however, we are not sure whether he signed it at this point.

Wishing you all the best Qi,

Kali Tara, Guam WTCQD coordinator
